August 4, 2010 – Needham, MA – The Bright Spirit Children’s Foundation, which provides entertainment technologies such as video games, computers, televisions, and audio for hospitals that work with seriously ill children, has donated new televisions & entertainment systems at San Jorge Children’s Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This will provide therapeutic care to patients as they recuperate from their lengthy illnesses in the Oncology Unit.

The project includes updating and replacement of old televisions and building out an entertainment center for use in the oncology unit. Bright Spirit programs are designed to uplift a child's spirit in the hospital, distract them from their illnesses, and help them to cope with fear, anxiety, and boredom.
San Jorge Children’s Hospital was selected because of Stuart’s work with Marsh Saldana, and their commitment to help the children of Puerto Rico. Stuart Kaplan, Bright Spirit President and Founder remarked, “This will make a real difference in the lives of seriously-ill children in Puerto Rico. After my visits to Puerto Rico and the tour of the hospital, our foundation could make a big impact in the hospital.
