Distractive & Therapeutic Entertainment

Bright Spirit provides entertainment technologies (video gaming, televisions, audio, etc) for hospitals that work with seriously-ill children. Our programs are designed to uplift a child's spirit in the hospital, distract them from their illnesses, and help them to cope with fear and boredom.

Donations have included:

Starliht Wii

Starlight Fun Center®:
Starlight's Fun Center® mobile entertainment units feature a Nintendo Wii™ (specially modified for Starlight for hospital use) together with a Sharp® AQUOS™ LCD Flat Panel Television and DVD player. The ease with which Fun Centers roll right up to the side of young patients' beds makes them perfect for hospitalized children in numerous situations: anticipating surgery, during long outpatient clinic treatments, waiting in the emergency room or fighting loneliness after visiting hours have ended. For more information, visit www.starlight.org/funcenter.

Jose riding the GameBike

GameBike:
An exercise bicycle with an integrated game controller to allow both exercise, movement, and gaming, all in a single unit.

CD Pharmacy:
In conjunction with Musicians-On-Call (www.musiciansoncall.org), we provide 250 CDs in a library along with portable CD players to allow children to listen to music.

Gaming:
Ninetendo Wii's, Sony Playstations, Sony Playstation portables (PSP), Nintendo DS, Guitar Hero, Games, etc.

                                                                Computers:
                                                                Specially configured laptops and desktops.

Bright Spirit works with local hospitals and treatment centers to determine the most appropriate programs or services needed for the kids. To request the support of Bright Sprit for your hospital, please send us your contact and request information.
